KANSAS CITY, Mo. ? As Kansas City's fifth offensive coordinator in four years, Brian Daboll says he knows the value of continuity.
Daboll, who ran the Miami Dolphins offense last year, was introduced by the Chiefs on Tuesday. He says he hopes to stick around a while.
The 36-year-old New York native and former New England assistant coach will have more autonomy than most offensive coordinators. Head coach Romeo Crennel plans to double as defensive coordinator and will have little time for offense.
Daboll will take over an offense that was weakened by injury last season and finished 31st in scoring and 27th in total yards. He replaces Bill Muir, who retired.
