The race course was almost 24 miles long, and served as an excellent all around test of mountain biking skills.? There were numerous rocks, roots, creeks, twists, turns, climbs and descents. ?Yes, it had something for everyone.? The only thing it didn't have were any flat fire road sections, as it was all either uphill or downhill.
Our team had a strong turnout of 12 racers lining up on the starting line beginning at 10:00am.? As a team, the Feedback Sports gang did very well with 2 wins, 3 podiums and 11 top-ten finishes.
To kick things off, Tim Allen won the Pro/Open Race, finishing first among all 350 racers!? Tim smoked the up-and-down 23.9 mile course in 1 hour 35 minutes and 50 seconds. Wow.? Photos are courtesy of Annette Hayden and Mountain Moon Photography.
Not far behind Tim was Ken Benesh, who placed 5th in the 25 racer Pro/Open field with a time of 1:39:55.? That time was the 5th fastest overall!
Also finishing on the top step of the podium for the Feedback team was Emma Dunn, who won the Expert Women's 30-39 race!? Emma had the number one finishing time of ALL Expert Women.
Rounding out Feedback's podium finishers for the Valley Point to Point race was Pat D'Innocenzo, who placed 2nd in the Expert Men's 50+ field.
The remaining Feedback Sports team member finishers were:
Lisa Hudson (Pro Women) 7th place
Will Allen (Expert Men 30-34) 5th place
Rob Batey (Expert Men 35-39) 5th place
Jerry Kopack (Expert Men 35-39) 7th place

On Sunday morning the 16th, the Winter Park Mountain Bike Race Series resumed with the Grand Park Short Track.? Race number 4 of the Series, the STXC, was held on a 1.5 mile loop behind the Grand Park Recreation Center in Fraser.? The racing action was fast and furious, and the Feedback team was there at the forefront.
Tim Allen won the hotly contested Pro/Open Men's short track race along with the corresponding $200 in prize money!? Also finishing "in the money" was Lisa Hudson, who took 4th place (and $75) in the Pro Women's race.
The other team members who competed in the Short track races were Mike Shaub (2nd), Will Allen (3rd), Doug Hudson (4th) and Doug Meegan (4th). With all of the strong placings in both races, the Feedback Sports Winter Park team moved up into 4th place overall in the team standings.
