Operational Risk Manager - interim / TP - Thomson Reuters Accelus

A leading Financial Institution institution based in London is recruiting for an experienced Operational Risk Manager for either interim cover or temp to perm to join their growing UK office.

Duties include:
- Ensure the company implements the Group Risk policy within the UK legal and regulatory framework.
- Identify potential areas of vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provide general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future.
- Ensure all risk of the company are evaluated and presented in a format appropriate for the Board.
- Define and implement UK specific risk policies and procedures.
- Carry out operational risk assessment of the existence and implementation of process and procedures.
- Review procedures for recovery of customer debtors.
- Review and report Capital Resource Requirement and Large Exposure Requirement.
- Provide senior level liaison and management information as appropriate to key stakeholders, legal and regulatory bodies.
- Analyse regulatory/market infrastructure changes, and advise senior management of any operational risks.
- Participate in ad hoc projects that may include product development.
- Act as the point of contact for insurance within group and external.
- Responsible for Business Continuity Planning
- Responsible for Business Impact Analysis
- Contribute to the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and the Individual Liquidity Adequacy Assessment (ILAA).

Minimum requirements:
Must have held a similar role within the financial services.
